CAPTION
Prohibits using the County's resources to install certain wind turbines.
QUESTION
Shall the County be prohibited from utilizing public resources to install or operate wind turbines exceeding 150 feet in height?
SUMMARY
If passed this initiative would prohibit Hood River County from using any public resources to facilitate any wind turbine machines that exceed 150 feet in total height.
The total height of a wind turbine machine would be defined as the distance from the base of the wind turbine tower to the tip of the turbine blade where it reaches its hightest elevation as it rotates.
Under the provisions of this initiative no Hood River County funds may be used in conjunction with the purchase, construction, installation or operation of any wind turbine machine that exceeds 150 feet in total height.
Additionally, no Hood River County public lands may be used in conjunction with the purchase, construction, installation or operation of any wind turbine machine that exceeds 150 feet in total height.

No Hood River County public funds or Hood River County public lands shall be used in conjunction with the purchase, construction,
installation, or operation of any wind turbine in Hood River County exceeding 150 feet in total height.
Total height of a wind turbine is defined as the distance from the base of the tower to the tip of the turbine blade when it reaches its highest elevation.
